Have you or Scott tried messing with the req_fuel instead of VE/Crank/ASE values by chance? At a glance it looks like a simple constant change could solve everything.

I am probably going to spend easter getting my car running as i'm now in a position to wire it up and turn the key.

have you confirmed that your fuel pressure is where you expect it to be, and where it was when running previously?

Kris- i hear what you are saying about moving the req_fuel variable to move the whole curve, but that should really be a fixed constant, and we should tweak parameters around it. i suppose though, as part of poking around with curiosity it may answer some questions about what's going on.

this conversion has made it clear to me that the sequencer is not a plug-n-play swap. really need to retune the whole deal, and i found that injector open time had a lot to do with it.

ca434sbc4 : i think it may be worth taking a look at absolute pulsewidths to see if they are in range of what might be expected.... when you get the motor warmed up to temp, what is the idle pulsewidth it likes to idle in wasted mode? (you don't have sync signal yet?). as a comparison.... in wasted mode, i am idling at 1.8ms pulse width with 14.4ms req_fuel. i really think your big adjustments are a function of opening time - at idle, opening time is a huge influence.

what is your wasted idle PW for good idle, and what is your req_fuel as determined by the formula using injector size, CID, # injectors, fuel pressure ?
