VAG COP style coils
On my V-twin i'm using two 03D 905 115 E cops, Bremi number 20116. I'm powering them from the MicroSquirt that's been switched to logic level ignition output.
I set them to 3ms dwell, 4ms at cranking. I think they're half dead now and i think, the battery dwell correction did it. Or it was just me, i set that table.
Anyways...
I would like you to share your knowledge and experience with these things here. Which one do you think is the better one. How long have you used them in good succes. How high can you rev them. How many did you fry, your min. dwell, max. dwell, etc...

Re: VAG COP style coils
I THINK I'm using L or R version COPs. I have been running these coils for 4,000+ miles now and no problems (with the coils anyhow...). My max dwell is set to 3.0mSec (on the low side, I believe) with default battery correction values.
Re: VAG COP style coils
What i meant is, my twin's doing over 10.000 RPM, cars on which these coils are used, usualy do a little over half that. Will they survive? If not i'm throwing them over the fence.
Also i meant, and that's why i posted the picture, there's so many variations of them, and they all look the same, which, is the one to have, and which not. What's the diff. I've mailed Bremi, but i guess it's a big secret.
I know G is newer then E etc...
