can't time cylinder #2 please advise

45 degree odd fire harley-36-1 trigger wheel-setting trigger wheel teeth at 37-i missing tooth-skip teeth four which puts me at tdc front cylinder-after 405 degree crankshaft rotation-delay teeth 28-offset -315 the only way i get the front cylinder to spark is when cranking speed almost stops,then it is a single spark,i know i have something set wrong however my #1 cylinder times dead on with a timing light,i amd guessing i need to set my cylinder offset different???
p.s. if i set the offset for #2 at 45 degrees i get steady spark but the ignition timing is off the wheel

Delay teeth must be set at 36, as if this is an even fire engine. You then use the offset angle to specify the #2 cylinder timing. Setting delay teeth to 28 is going to confuse the wheel decoder.

27 is not any better when the correct value for Skip Teeth needs to be 36.

i'm sorry to bother you but i want to understand.right now #1 cylinder tdc is five teeth past the missing tooth so i have a delay of four teeth.do i remove delay teeth and skip teeth???

Delay teeth measures the offset between TDC and the missing tooth, and I'd leave that there. The skip teeth value is the number of teeth you would have between firings if you have an even fire engine. It does not and should not incorporate the odd fire angle; that is set separately.

Set the skip teeth number as if you had an even fire engine.
