Alpha-N setup problem

Post by nemiro »

Hello all-
I am having a problem with the setup on my latest 2 stroke microsquirt project. I am running it as Alpha-N, and I also have a baro sensor hooked up. If I go into Megatune, I can see the baro reading on the baro gauge. The MAP gauge is reading about 8kpa (this seems to vary, even though there is no MAP sensor hooked up). My TPS is properly calibrated, and I have full range in the readings. I have setup my Alpha-N to MAP table, and when the engine runs, I can see the highlighted block move about properly. My problem is in the VE table. Using both Megatune and Palmtune 2, I never move out of the cells in the TPS 0 or 9% rows. I have rows evenly divided up to 100 (reads kPa on the vertical scale). I have it setup as Pure Alpha-N, and still no change. I am sure someone else has encountered this, and it is simple. I would also like to get the baro sensor in the loop, so that it can adjust for me (for instance, I am at high elevation, and baro reads 78-80kPa here, which is normal; but I do want it to adjust the fueling when I drop in elevation). Any suggestions?

Make sure you have Alpha-n setup in the Control Algorithm on page 1, Injector control

To make use of the baro correction in alphaN you have to use the Blended option and then set the rpms to either both 10 rpm or both 15k rpm, can't remember which, so that you get in effect pure alphaN, but it still adds in the baro correction.
