Trouble Communicating with Microsquirt
This is my first post. I am currently a member of a school project in which we are outfitting a small engine with fuel injection. One primary problem we are having, is the previous team left us with no documentation with respect to which version of the embedded code our Microsquirt is using, is there a way I can check this? We were also left with two USB to serial adapters and no corresponding drivers.
I am using Windows 7 and have not been able to get the Microsquirt to connect with my computer. We have an adapter that resembles the one on the diyautotune website, and one that resembles the prolific usb adapter (sold at Best Buy). I downloaded the drivers off of their respective websites, and nothing seems to work. Perhaps I'm missing something simple? I am open to suggestions as to what could be the problem.
Additionally, I apologize if my statement is vague. If you request additional information, I will work hard to provide it.
Thank You,

Re: Trouble Communicating with Microsquirt
Run portChecker.exe (http://www.megamanual.com/files/software/portCheck.zip) it will tell you what code you have (if your serial port is functional).
For serial issues, see: http://www.megamanual.com/connect.htm
