Two Cylinder, Two Stroke Ignition Questions
1.Taken from the Dual Spark info page, "This option provides 'wasted spark' coil firing for 1, 2 or 4 cylinders. For a 1 or 2 cylinder engine the two outputs must be tied to the single coil." Using this theory and a twin tower single coil, would I just need to take IGN1(pin#11) and IGN2(pin#12) and run both of them to the negative tower of the coil?
2.If I were to run two single tower "dumb" coils, I would need to run IGN1(pin#11) to coil #1 negative, and IGN2(pin#12) to coil #2 negative. Would this basically perform like the setup above, just with two coils providing four spark events per rotation instead of one coil providing two spark events per revolution?
3.Being as my setup will be fairly compact and I am always worried about RFI, I have tossed around the idea of running two LS series coils. To do this, the only special thing needed to be done is convert the uSquirt to logic level outputs as seen here? http://www.microsquirt.info/us_logic_level_spark.htm Then wire up the coils on the LS Dual Spark coil page?
Thanks in advance for the answers everyone...Evan
