It sounds like you have 2 problems, one with wiring and the other with configuration. I will let you work with Dontz on the wiring, but in the configuration it sounds like you should set your "Offset for Output #2" to 0 deg in the Advanced Ignition menu. The 180 deg offset between cylinders is taken care of by the Skip Teeth = 18; by also setting the Offset for Output #2 you are putting it in twice.

Hi all, it's been a while.

So on the advice of dontz, i changed the position of IGN1 jumper, to put it in the same position as IGN2 : still nothing on my spark plugs.

@grippo : i removed my "Offset for output 2" , you are right, it's already taken care of by the "Skip teeth" feature.

But again, still no spark on IGN1.

My coils are good, my spark plugs are good (i tested them by putting em on IGN2 and they fire). I swaped the "+", and then the "-" but still the same thing.

Do you guys think something could be fried ? If so, how could i test it ?

Thanks fellows :|

Are you getting rpm on the Rpm Gauge in Tuner Studio ? This is the first step in troubleshooting. If you don't have rpm, you will never get spark. If you get rpm only for an instant and then it goes 0 then up then 0, etc, you may get an occasional spark but the engine won't run. If you are getting steady rpm, are you getting spark on either ignition ?

Can you make a datalog and post this and the msq you used to make the datalog, that is, at the end of the datalog do a File save to get the msq that is in the engine.

Like i said, i have great tach input and a steady 300rpm when cranking. But when cranking, i only have sparks on the spark plugs of the coil wired on IGN2, nothing on IGN1. I swapped the coils to be sure they both work.

I will make a datalog asap.

Ok so here are my datalog when cranking, and the MSQ that was into the controller when made the datalog. Hope you guys find something :|

I looked at your data and everything looks reasonable, but you aren't getting any spark on IGN1 but are getting it on IGN2. This is not likely a configuration problem. My guess is that IGN1 from the processor or the BIP driver is fried. There is a driver for each coil and they are on the big Aluminum block. As dontz said, you must have the two jumpers next to them, JP4 and JP5, both set the same way and set so they connect pin 1 and pin 2. If that is the case, we have to isolate whether it is the processor or the driver that is the problem. Since pin 2 is from the processor you could scope it or try an led test light on each of the pin 2s. If they both show signal then the BIP driver for IGN1 has to be replaced. If the pin2 on the IGN1 driver shows no signal and the other does, then the processor port is fried.

The jumpers are in the good position now, connecting pins 1 and 2.

I just tested the controler with my scope, and clearly it appears that nothing arrives to the driver on IGN1. On IGN2 I could see the signal on my screen, nothing on IGN1. So I guess the processor is in fault here.
