I'm reading a quite a bit about noise....and I want to avoid it!

I plan to use to BIP373 to fire my coils. Does the wiring from the coils to the BIP373s generate a lot of noise? and how close can I put the BIPs to the actual coils and spark plug wires?
I am using a Hall sensor on the crankshaft with a skip-tooth gear (yet to be designed). What is the optimal gap of the gear teeth or a minimum gap? I believe the hall sensor works fine with the bottom of the gap a radius instead of square.
I will run the Hall sensor wires in a sheilded cord to minimize interference.
Which other wiring is particularly sensitive to noise? TPS, O2,
My alternator wiring that goes to a rectifier is going to be close to the other wires. Should I be pro-active and shield the alternator wiring?
I'm trying to as much homework up front avoid learning more than I have to "the hard way"
