cant find "odd fire" parameter in tunerstudio

Post by maxridingkev »

Hello all, newbie here, I have a problem that looks like a tunerstudio software bug or omission. Hope someone here can either fix it or help me understand if i'm doing something wrong.

I am in the process of injecting an 85 vmax, and in following through the "megasquirt2 tunerstudio ms lite reference manual" I get to the section explaining how to setup engine type, oddfire or evenfire, and that is where the problem lies, that parameter does not exist!? It is not in the general setup section or any section that I can find.

So, I think to myself, since I have the "lite" version, that is the issue, so I pay $90 and get the full version along with the megalog hd, and still not there. So then I go to my mac desk top and down load the tunerstudio, and low and behold, there it is, the oddfire selection right were the manual says it should be, but this does me no go as i'm not toting my desktop to the shop.

any help would be greatly appreciated

What firmware are you using on the MicroSquirt? It is possible the project you opened where the parameter was there was set up for a different firmware from what's on your ECU.

Hi Matt, thankyou very much for the reply, I did figure it out, and it was just a difference in firmware. I downloaded the msextra firm ware and there it was.

Thanks again.
