hi, i got funny thing happening, try to start no spark, pull dissy out turn by hand or stick drill on it and it sparks like hell. put it back in nothing, got it running a couple of time but not sparking properly no spark 1 and 4. but when i take it out they all fie wonderfully.. it got me beet...been tying to fix it for a week now an ideas ???? Rudy
Also forgot to say it on a datsun 260z with electronic ign from a 280zx, it got a little module on side of dissy with 2 wires coming of it. it a reco dissy so its in good shape. as i said i have had the car going it did run well for a day in the shed starting it about 20 times no problem but the next day didnt want to start, when i do the dissy by hand or drill i have tuner studio hooked up like the car is running and it shows it working well rpm good , pump runs when it should but does show alot of avance even tho all the advance stuff has been taken of the dissy. but soon as i put it back on motor and try to start no spark nothing, wierd as.....
Im trying to run microsquirt, initially it started and ran ok now i cant get spark from dissy , put in new dissy still no spark only sometimes erratic spark is shown, but if i pull dissy out and lay it on manifold and turn it by hand or drill it sparks just fine and injectors fire and shows up on laptop working perfect but soon as i put it back in motor nothing , ive put earth wires everywhere no change, ive had in and out 20 times and each time its out works great..Any Ideas WHY??..
Running microsquirt which did run fine for a day but now dissy wont spark unless i pull it out and turn by hand or stick a drill on it to spin it. Then it all works fine but soon as i put it back in engine it dont work for some reason. Its a Datsun 260 z straight 6 with after market fuel infection running standard electronic dissy so ingniting from neg on coil .any ideas on why this happening?? Its got me stumped..
