See this topic in the General forum for Bruce's announcement. http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=15011

A prototype has been built, but production is still a bit in the future.

Bruce, could a small patch of real estate be found for the MPXA4250A (CASE 482A-01) MAP or BAP sensor.. ?

I'd say there isn't any room. Besides, how would you seal the case without adding another $50 to the cost?

That's incredible, but where is the processor?

Allen,

The processor is the light blue square slightly to the right and below center, with all the connections (48, in total!).

I see, thanks. This thing is pretty sweet, wonder how I missed it. Is there any advantage over a MSII, except size? I wonder if future MegaSquirts will go this direction.

It's waterproof and really small. Other than that, I'd go with MS-II and a v3.0 mainboard every time, just so I can hack stuff onto the board.

There appears to be a huge airspace above the board courtesy of the AMPSEAL height. The MAP could be routed out with an 80¢ bulkhead connector as many MS kits come with these days. In the spirit of overkill - add a dime for O-rings. Maybe even room for a relay or two and a daughterboard... :?:

The focus here is Motorcycles and Snowmobile type applications, where size is of the essence, and watertight is very important. You could use it on your daily driver (note the limitation on low-z injectors without resistors) but Eric's right that the MS-II and standard PCBv3 is still directed at that purpose. It will be more expandable and moddable.
