Bosch LE2 Jetronic system - Uno Turbo
It is possible to use MS v2.2 instead of standart ECU in Fiat Uno 1.3 turbo (le2 jetronic...) ??
Anyone try to use MS with flap type air flow meter ?
It is possible? What should I use to emulate map sensor?
Megasquirt uses the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) instead of the Bosch Air Flow meter. This is simply a vacuum hose connection from the manifold to the Megasquirt ECU.
You will have everything else you need from the L-Jetronic except an air temperature sensor (that is usually in the Air Flow meter). So you simply add that somewhere at the intake. You can initially run the megasquirt with the Bosch system in place and switch between them. Once the megasquirt works to your satisfaction you can remove the Air flow meter and the Bosch ECU.
I recommend you go with the MS 1 v3.0 so you can take advantage of some of the features and updates.

I know that is simple (and better) to change old flap type maf to map sensor but is forbidden by homologation....
use MS instead of standart ECU is the only way... (stock ecu control only fuel)
if it is impossible or too complicated to do this, i'll try to do something with standart ecu....

All i did was use the existing engine loom and sensors.
Spliced the looms above the engine connector harness.
The airflow meter was already broken so i span the spring around to keep the vein open all the time, tapped into the airflow for the inlet air, and replaced the 2 position TPS with a generic one.
The car runs so much smoother that the difference is quite remarkable.
And the best bit. looks so close to oem.
Hope this helps.

Yeap, it's possible to run with MAF with MSnS-Extra !LuiG wrote:i think piggyback are allowed
air mesure device must be AFM type, not MAP
it could be another AFM,
what AFM work with MS??
Take a look in http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/MAF_Stuff.htm
Good luck !
