very odd problems, car suddenly throws wild AFR's.

Post by Mateo86 »

I noticed recently, after I finally implemented my new spark map (as opposed to running 10 degrees of timing all the time), that a lot of things were not right anymore. Like acceleration erichments. I have no idea why this would change, but it did. Now, The car has started having major warmup problems, like it never did before. For no good reason, and varying temperatures, the car's AFR's will jump wildly (AEM wideband), and the car bucks and threatens to die. If this happens near idle, the car dies instantly. Please help! I'm so frustrated, been trying to iron out things for a month now!

Mateo,

I couldn't download your datalog - it may be too large. You have to specify what code you are using, otherwise the MSQ file isn't a lot of use to us.

Do the problem go away if you revert to your 'old' settings? If not, try reburning the code.

It might be that you are getting misfires (which would cause the AFR to fluctuate). It might also be that you have too much advance, which can casue rough running.

Lance.
