You shouldn't need to disable AE. All AE records are filtered during log analysis. Actually, I wouldn't expect ego to negatively impact tuning either as it is factored into the calculation. I'll have to play around with that some more.

Keep in-mind that both NB and WB sensors swing around while driving and will attempt correction that is not necessary. You may have noticed cruising on a flat portion of expressway with the rpm's and throttle steady and they still bounce around! This is why long, creative drives are good for averaging the data for better analysis. Maybe Phil has some other pointers about his very cool VE Analyzer. David
