We've got 15 MicroSquirt's left in stock now, and a few more set to trickle in early next week. After that it may be a couple of weeks before the floodgates get opened up...

Got Mine

Just wanted to post that I received my MicroSquirt yesterday from DIYAutoTune. I'm really impressed with it.

Nothing has been plugged in yet. However, if I was to suggest any change, it would be to have the labels on the wires of the harness in closer intervals. There are a few on mine where the label is on the stripped section and the next one in is well inside the protective sheath.

Very nice so far!

Thanks for the good feedback, I am happy you like the unit. And I do know what you mean about the labelling, what I will do is have them cut the harness such that the label is always near the free end.

Also, I think I am going to stop having them cut the insulation off at the free end. With all of the wires stripped at the end it makes it harder to test the unit by itself without all of the wires shorting out. It seems every time I get a uS unit I first go and cut off all of the stripped ends. There are a lot of wires there, and many you will probably never have to use, so it is easier to leave these unstripped.

Opinions on stripping of the free end?

Bruce,

That makes sense to me, especially since people are probably going to cut them to length anyhow.

Bruce,

That's exactly what I was thinking, get rid of the prestripped ends. Seems like it would be quicker to assemble as well.

I too noticed the long interval, and if you are ordering new wire you should probably look at the "optoin" which got spell checked to "option".

Thanks

40 more units are being assembled at the CM, they will be sent to DIYAUTOTUNE early next week. And I have about 100 more assembled boards behind that that I will be programming and checking out in the next week...

MicroSquirt's are back in stock and ready for immediate shipment... We should be able to keep them flowing this time I believe.
