I understand what you are saying completely. I have read into it a quite a bit and I agree with you completely, LPG in Australia is pretty much rubbish but you can buy 100% propane, not from petrol stations, but at outlets which allows car fill-ups. I am trying to remeber the name of the place. There is one in cambellfield along the hume hwy in Victoria.
I also do not intend or running the car at such high power levels. The engine will only see these power levels on "special" occassions. It would destroy the motor fairly quickly I would think!!! So the volitilaty of using LPG isn't as great when running the engine at am much more reasonable/driveable level.
