ms2 driving 1 ohm coil ?

Howdy.

I'm trouleshooting my ms2 install. car runs but behaves irratically. One of the reasons for that might be a weak spark (causing misfires). I have measured the resistance on my stock coil (between + and - terminals), and it's 1.1 ohm. aparently ms2 direct coil control unit is capable of handling only 7.5 amps, which is not enough to drive that coil. quick questions.

1. have i measured coild resistance correctly ?
2. should standard ms2 v3 board be capable of running this coil ok ?
3. if i was to replace this coil, with one of higher inductance, is it possible it will fix my weak spark problem ? can it cause other unwanted sinde effects ?
4. are there any setting is megatune or modifications to v3 board to make is able to drive this coil ?

thanks in advance.

update.

did some research on the web, :RTFM:, and aparently my particular ECU does have integrated ignition amplifier. :?

I'm not sure what these do, but can it be the cause of weak spark with MS2 unit ?

Note: on stock ECU car runs smooth and doesnt miss a beat.

Was the original ignition CDI? I've only found CDI coils to be that low DC resistance but am always willing to learn!

I'll bet your "integrated ignition amp" is a CDI ignition unit. Free beer on me if not.... but you gotta fly me out to NZ. :-)

Also - you will probably be just fine with MS firing a standard coil of higher R & Z.
