Anyone know what vehicle this injector is used on? I can find plenty of them from the '03 and '04 Mustang Cobras, but they are a little spendy...... I was hoping I could find 'em on a "not so in-demand hot rod" application..... :?

Thanks!

Levi,

There are a few sources for larger injectors, but the most common I've found are the Bosch types in mid-80's CFI Ford cars and trucks. They are mounted in the top of the throttle body but only 2 at a time - which is why they're so big. The ones in 3.8 V6 (green top), 5.0 (302) V8 (blue) and 5.0HO (gray) models are the most useful. They flow roughly 32, 42 and 50 pounds per hour at 2.5 bar and more at standard 3 bar (43.5 psi), of course.

They look a bit different on the top sealing ring area, but they are still the same diameter as standard ones - just no O-ring retaining lip. No big deal as they still work just fine in standard installations if you add the usual yellow disks or washers and O-rings to them.

Hope that helps,
David

There are a few that I "could" use, but I want to be somewhat selective in the physical size of the injector. The reason being is that I'll put these one a two stroke snowmobile and I have a set of carb boots that are built for a boost bottle. The boots have certain sized holes on top that will fit a ev6 style injector almost perfectly.

Thanks!

Sorry for steeling the thread but this is intressting to me. Do you mean the Bosch injectors 0280 150 403? As the 50pound ones? On a standard installation like a GM TPI?? If this fits and works this would be great as these injectors seem to be available at reasonable pricing. What yellow disks are needed? On my TPI setup I have on such discks just one oring at each end of the injector.

I believe the 39lb/hr ones I've been looking for are 0 280 156 127. What style are the ones you're talking about Christian?

Levi thats a totally different no. than I had. I have really have no idea what style but the post from David seems to indicate that the one I was refering to (0280 150 403) would fit a standard GM TPI setup. Just wanted to be sure as I found a source http://www.injectors4u.com but I live in sweden.

If you don't mind using used ones you can find a set of 8 03/04 cobra injectors for about 100 bucks. try the classified ads at http://www.svtperformance.com
