500hp Turbo Hayabusa VE Table

Post by 2WHEELENGR »

Help with VE Table.

Any opinions on a 500 hp Turbocharged Hayabusa. I'm using a MSII with MSD MC-4 for Ignition. :?:

Size = 1298 cc's
Torque = 230lbs.
HP = 450-500
RPM = 11,000
AFR = 12:1

Thanks. :D

Can you be more specific? Are you looking for a baseline table to start from or?

Three of us are building Busa dragbikes, all MSII and all MC4 for spark. None of us are shooting for 500, but my friend has all the good stuff in the motor and may make a run at the low 7s maybe sixes :!: I would be happy with 8.20s. We are all running Turbonetics t3/t4 turbo, 650 RC injectors, Tial WG, Tial BOV, etc. We plan to fire them up in the next 3-4 weeks. May have something then, or a pile of parts after the dyno session

Good Luck, I thought that we were the only ones running the MS on a turbo-Busa.

Nope I am running MS on a Turbo Busa too, but its in a car :-)

I have 4 extra injectors in my plenum which I was driving with my Megasquirt. I was driving the 4 injectors in the throttle bodies with the suzuki ECU. At the weekend I converted it so I could use megasuirt to control both using the staged injection scheme.

I go it started but have not driven or mapped it yet.

Are you using Megasquirt for Spark on you Turbo Busa or just fueling ?

Cheers

oops I just read you are using an MC4 for spark.

Why not go Megaquirt I and run extra code and use that for spark ?

Cheers

I have a 2003 Busa so I must subscribe just to read about this. :RTFM:

I hate to go off topic, but how do you guys tune your bikes? Kind-of tough to do while riding I would think. Or do you have a wireless setup?

The MC4 is awsome for drag racing. It has 2 step, autoshift, timing retard under boost, launch timing retard, individual cylinder timing, etc. etc. Everything is laptop controlled and you a lot of flexability with the different controls.

For a street bike Im sure the MSII with spark would be fine, but I did not know much about it. Going from carbs to FI in one year was enough to learn without trying to learn a new ignition system . :lol:
