Toyota dizzy bench testing success!

Post by barf »

Hello, Id like to thank everyone who has helped make the MS2 what it is today!

My MS2 is now reading RPM from a distributor from an EFI celica on the bench with a drill simulating RPM. It has two VR pickups, one 24 tooth wheel and a 4 tooth wheel. In the Toyota wiring these signals are labeled NE and G, respectively. I cut a trace on the stim and wired pin 24 to the G pickup and the common to the negative terminal of my battery (in the OEM wiring the VR common wire is connected straight to the ECU, why is that?).

I had to do alot of signal tracing until I figured out how the VR conditioning circuit worked. Then all I had to do was wind R52 & R56 all the way out.

My battery drill only provides about ~1200 RPM but its enough to make me smile! Car testing will begin soon on a 16v 4A-GE with a 4K-U distributor.
it's not the size, it's what you do with it.

Awesome! keep us updated!

I am interested in transferring my old ms v2.2 with ms1/2 expansion board setup to my daily driven 16v 4age, so I will definately be keeping an eye on your setup.
