IAC Step duration.

Post by slow_hemi6 »

Probably not the best place to ask but I need some info on IAC STEP on and off duration when executing multiple steps.
See http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?p=113772#113772 for background.

If you are asking what is a typical time between pulses to the stepper motor, then a typical value would be 2.5 msec (about 400 Hz). Every 2.5 ms the configuration of the 4 stepper motor wires is changed, so the motor moves one step. This step time is user selectable in MS2 and some people have found the motor sounds smoother by changing this value from the default of 2.5 ms..
