Hall input modifications

Hi all,
A number of users have been having troubles with the Hall input and HEI or other modules, while others have not (see: http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=18691).
As a result of problems, some people have switched to the MSnS-E mod to the Hall input, some have added a transistor to the standard Hall circuit, and some (me, at least) have started using the VR input circuit for the square wave. These are described here: http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/inputHEI.htm
I intend to modify the assembly guide to instruct users to assemble one of these alternate methods, as all of them seem to trigger more reliably than the standard circuit for some users. However, I would like to know if any/all of these are working perfectly for people.
So this thread has a poll for users of HEI 7-pin or 8-pin modules with either MSnS-E or MS-II.
In additon, if people have comments on any of these alternatives (with any ignition modules), please reply in this thread.
Thanks,
Lance.
