Info on 2 injectors and a motorcycle pump.

Post by jharvey »

I'm posting some information on two injectors and a motorcycle pump. The fuel pump came off a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 600 and produces 50 PSI +/- 2 PSI with the injector closed. The test pattern was done with a DC supply to the injectors, so 100% duty cycle. My supply was limited to 4 amps at 13.8v and was current limiting so I know this pump draws at least 4 amps. The pump is regulated and does not use a return line from the injectors. It does circulate the fuel in the pump probably to keep the pump cool. It also has some form of sensor for fuel level. I don't know how it works. Both injectors drew 1A at 13.8V.

ford injector #195500-2110 time to fill 200ml was 101s so 118cc/min which is a pinch below the expected 120cc/min.

bosch injector #0280-150-993 time to fill 200ml was 109s so 110cc/min This matches the expected flow rate.
