TPS accel problem

Post by tmbg »

My TPS accelleration rates behave weird, the bar in the accel wizard only moves to about 20%/s when I floor the throttle as quickly as possible. Is there a way to adjust the values it uses for that?

I turned the %/s bins way down, but I was never able to get smooth accel enrichment using the TPS alone; with 60% TPS/40% MAP I was able to get some pretty decent accel enrichment, and it's working pretty well, but I'd like to figure out how to make the TPS rate work properly.

I would ignore the wizard bar and use datalog for tpsDOT value.
Or you can set up at guage in MegaTune.

I typically get a max tpsDOT about 60 (% / .1s) when logging...

The wizard bar is flakey. It seems to lag or miss the event and I have even seen it track my TPS position, not rate as it should! The time it was tracking position and not rate I closed the wizard and reopened it and it behaved properly(?) trying to track rate...though poorly. I suspect megatune's interogation rate is too slow to accurately report many parameters.

I found the default values worked very well, except that I had to double the lowest rate bin, going 1ms to 2ms. This got rid of the hesitation off idle.
