The last resort...

If anyone could help... I have been scratching my head for a couple of weeks and reading the forum but to no avail.

I have been trying to open MSconfig to try out the mt2.25 but keep getting those pesky DLL errors. I have downloaded the recommended files from previous posts, no joy. I tried a program called dependancy walker which always flags MFC42.dLL as missing. Which is defently in the C:/windows/system32 folder. One thought that I had was that the DLL file is in the wrong place and when MT2.25 mtconfig is started it is looking for the file but cant find it. Anyway, I have installed and unstalled MT2.25 3 times but always the same error. I am running out of options, actually I am at my last resort.

My os is WIN98 on an old IBM Thinkpad 760CD that uses a Pentium processor. MS-II with the MSnS-E 27C, V2.2 board with the 2nd EGO, Output 5, and Nitrous control curcuts mod

Thanks,

Bill

try copying the offending dll file into the folder where megatune executable is. try to obtain this tile from different pc and replace yours. run all windows updates on your PC.... reinstall directX and whatever else you can...

it's hard to say... because it work for everybody, i'd consider your laptop might need a format and reload of windows.

Trust me, I'm working as application integrator, so I know a thing or two about this problems....

Well I was tinkering with my ThinkPad and got Windows so screwed up that 98 will not boot. Just my luck that the thinkpad 760cd will not boot from its CD rom, nor do I have a floppy drive to install to boot the machine. The machine probably needed a reformat anyway so I would run into this problem no matter what I did. Back to the drawing board... Thanks for the help.
