Drop in injectors for GSX-R Throttle Bodies?

Post by Bow »

Does anyone know of any injectors that will drop straight in to the GSX-R Throttle Bodies?

I am looking for something around 350cc and up for use on an NA 2.4L Nissan 4-banger.

I have the 2002 GSX-R 750 Throttle bodies (Keihin).

Honda S2000 are 390cc I think (from memory) but Blackbird and Hayabusa are slightly bigger than the 750 ones if it's just a bit more poke you need. I got the info from here http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/lofiver ... t5760.html when I was looking at replacements but the 150hp I need is easily supplied by standard injectors as proven on the dyno

Thanks Paul.

You think the stock GSX-R 750 injectors will support around 200hp and an engine redline of about 7200 rpm?

The 2002 GSX-R 750 was rated for around 140hp a 12,700 RPM.

750 injectors should see 200bhp easily

Don't foget because bikes rev so high theres more fuel flowing, the gsxr 600 that are rated at 30-40cc/min less are good for 180ish

Mark,

That is great news!

I have been beating myself silly looking for injectors and I didn't want to bore out the Throttle Body injector ports if at all possible.

my manifold is slowly coming together, and if the Stock GSX-R 750 injectors will work, I will save a nice chunk of change!

UPDATE:

I just got off the phone with RC Engineering.

I was told that all of the Suzuki Injectors, from the GSX-R 600 to the Hayabusa, flow about 240cc at 43psi.

He told me I could probably get away with the stock injectors by adding an adjustable regulator to up the pressure.

thats good to know. I seen somewhere the 600's were 240 and the 750's 270 but obviously not the case :)

yeah, but what I don't get is that the stock Nissan injectors used on my 2.4l are 270 cc and inject just in front of the valves...

so I have trouble seeing 240cc's working about 6 inches away from the valves, where the ITBs are located...

Know what I mean?
