Looking for help re-doing fuel map for new MAP sensor

Post by neonglh »

I am running MSnS-E firmware v. 029q2 and running a V3 board assembled by RS-Auto.

About 3 months ago, I flew dmarino up to NY to help me tune my car. We tuned the car perfectly to a 12.1:1 A/F ratio to what we thought was ~ 15 psi. The only boost gauge I had to go by was megatune, and it was reading fine.

I just purchased a Zeitornix Map sensor so that my wideband LCD screen will also display boost, and it was reading between 21 and 22 psi! After some looking into it, and talking to RS-Auto, I figured out that my megasquirt was set up for a 2.5 bar map sensor, when I had the 3.0 bar map sensor all along. So, while the car is "tuned properly", it is tuned properly for the wrong kPa range.

I would like to change the settings and set it as a 3.0 bar map sensor, but it is goign to throw off my entire VE table, and it is tuned perfectly. I would like to modify my VE table so that it maintains its same A/F ratio, but this is going to be hard to do.

Can anyone provide any tips for this, perhaps a mathematical equation I can use to convert my current fuel values to the new sized map sensor.

Thanks!

You should be able to just change the kpa values on the left hand side of the table. If you multiplied all the values by, hmm, 1.2 it should put you exactly where you were before with no drama.

Don't quote me but I think thats right.
