hello everyone, here are the problems I'm having right now

the car will not start, getting fuel, but no spark
the crane hi-6r I'm running has a status led that says - power supply fault on initial startup
the screen when ignition on and starting shows rpm and pulsewidth to be 0, both stay pink

where should I start, please help, been too long since hearing it run

Is your ECU set up for a Hall Sensor? If the gauge is pink it is not getting a signal or the signal is corrupt. If PW is 0 and rpm is pink, the ecu is not reading the tach signal. I suggest taking signal from the distributor before the Crane. Make sure the jumper on the circuit board is set up for a hall sensor. See the section of the megamanual regarding hall sensors. I assume you have a Mustang dist or Crane, MSD, Mallory.

I'm going to check that out right now, if that doesn't work, do you think I would need to add the pull up circuit? I tried the stim on the MS and everything worked so I'm not too sure whats going on with it.

Make sure you follow the TFI instructions on the MS1/Extra site.

http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/setup-tfi.html

The output side mods are badly described at present. I'll update them soon.

would I still see the cranking boxcome on even if it wasn't getting a good signal through pin 24?

would having dwell time @ 1.0 ms not be a long enough to make the msd n ot see a signal?

when I hooked up the led 17 circuit, I simply put a wire from the neg side of the led, and went to pin 36 on the db37. the input is tapped into the pip on hte tfi. now if the pip wire is touching hte shielding at all, will this cause me some problems?

What about the specified 330ohm resistor to 12v?

If the PIP wire touched the shielding you would get no rpm.
Did you do the board mods exactly as the instructions?

I have no 330 ohm resistor, and the mods on the input, I removed d1, and installed a jumper, and put a 1k 1/4w into d2, is there something I'm missing here?, I went and looked and my pip to the shielded pin 24 was touching the metal shielding, chenged that and still nothing at all

the instructions on the msns-e site for tfi it says 'only for driving coil from the tfi module, then it has the drawing for the led 17 circuit below that
