boosted VE tuning on MS II?

boosted VE tuning on MS II?

i've just generate one out from the "Online VE Generator". after i load it into my MS II, the engine response much more better that the previous VE table i have. it does not sluggish during acceleration and the RPM ramp up about 4000RPM and no sign of miss fire...
haven't drive my car on the road yet.. just to play safe, how would you all think about this VE? i hope it it won't cause my engine have any melted pistons inside specially under boosted region...
i have a 7.3 of req_fuel at the initial stage. can i increase this value to 8.0 just to make sure the thing won't run lean? then slowly decrease the req_fuel value until where there is no more black smoke out from the exhaust.. btw, i don't have any WB O2 with me and no one has it near my region.. so i'll tuning it using the old fashion(observing the exhaust smoke)

The generator is usually super rich. I wouldn;t mess with the req-fel, just use the table transform feature in the table setion until you get it close.



The best advice I can give you is to stop tuning until you have some sort of fuel monitoring device...heck, even a narrow band is better then what you have. Trying to tune an engine without any idea of the a/f ratio is like a blinded surgeon try to preform a delicate procedure.

pull the wastegate spring and don't boost it. Then get a wb02 and tune.

i have a functional narrow band attached to it right now.. all NB O2 show 0.5V for stoich? during idling, i use a fast response digital volt meter and measured 0.8V during idling..
refered to the mega manual on "Tuning a Turbo Charge engine with Mega Squirt", it stated immediately let off throttle when you sees back fire or knocking. is the back fire is same with miss fire? i'm confious with the definition here..

WB and EGT would be ideal............ using a narrow band is asking for trouble.

hmm... let say i plan to get a WB. would the sensor alone will be enough for MSII? or i need the complete set including the sensor and the converter?

i came across an wide band 02 system on diyautotune. the price still within my budget.. i'm wonder does the package output is 0-5V which can be plug into my MSII harness and the MSII read directly and start to tune from it? the link is as below

i can see only 2 wires out from the WB O2, one is +5V and another is Gnd?

That is the sensor that alot of people on this board run including me. It is a great sensor and will hook directly into MSII.
