MegaTune & Bluetooth Problems

Hi All.

Is there anyway to force MegaTune to disable RTS & DTR, ect.
I ask as this seems to be the problem with megatune not working over my bluetooth link.

MTX works flawlessly via serial cable or bluetooth link.
I have been using a port monitor to see what has been going on, and the only main change is that megatune seems to request RTS & DTR, wile MTX disables it.

For more info please see the link/post below.

Thanks for your time.

If you have Visual studio, the sourcecode for Megatune can be downloaded from Eric's site and is GPLd.

James, any idea what version of MS Visual Studio is required? I think I have v5 from years ago somewhere.

Maybe Eric can chime in on if this change will require a significant re-write of the coms initialization routine for MT.

No idea on what version is required, I've not tried it. Grab the source and see?
From what I understand, Eric is still very busy with work leaving no time for Megasquirt stuff, so we are on our own for the time being.

I have a copy of VS 8 that a mate lent me, but I only know VB, so I am in the deep end here.

I tried this with VS 8 and it said the project was written in VS 6 but it would convert.. then had about 60 errors upon build. I started fixing about 20 of them (mostly syntax errors that VS 6 must be more forgiving with) and then went to find that old version I had from my college days.

Turned out to be VS 6! Re-extracted the source I had downloaded to get rid of the changes I made and it built with only two errors. Missing two of the arrow bmp files so I just renamed them to the one bmp that was included as I could care less if a couple of the pictures in the build are wrong. Build now successful.

I have since found the RTS/DTR command settings (which are set to disabled) but I will try to play around with them to see if we can just remove them entirely without affecting functionality through normal comms.

I have. I'm working with Mad Professor on MSN helping with his problem (I'm at work).

See the other threads on here about successful BT installs for details.

btw, we have it working almost perfect for him now.. just doing a little more testing.
