Hello,
Seems like a simple thing but do you just click the small check box in the bottom RH section of VE Table 1 screen at Tuning>VE Table 1 to turn autotune on?

I'm ready for my first test drive and want to have it on and doing it's thing. Do I need change any settings or just click the box?

Also, if I want to check my coolant temp do I need to click Burn Table first before closing the VE Table 1 screen or just before I shut down MegaTune when I'm done with the test drive?

Thanks for any help, I'm nervous!

Hi!

I'm running ms-1 with Megatune 2.25 and I'm a ham-fisted troglodyte when it comes to computers, so here's how I do it:

1. Click the TUNING button at the top of the page with all your gauges on it.
2. Three choices will come up, click VEtable.
3. At the top of the page you'll see "file" and "tools". Click "tools".
4. You will see "autotune ctrl+A". Click on it to turn it on.

Look in the bottom right corner and the display (it'll be in the black area under the RPM readout and the VE table) that will tell you it's on. Press "alt+b" to burn it to the ECU or Click "file" at the top of the VEtable screen. It will will have 5 choices, click on "burn to ecu alt-B" to send it to your megasquirt.

5. Click on tools again and click "autotune ctrl+A" to turn it off.

I've beeen told to take it easy with the autotune, only use it for low-load conditions. Also follow the set-up for it in the MegaManual. The map it generates is a good start, but be prepared to do some tuning with someone else driving.

Good Luck!
