Need sage experience - 42 lb/hr or 47 lb/hr injectors

Post by -nick »

Hey all,
I could use some EFI wisdom. With my current 38 lb/hr injectors @ 3bar I'm seeing the following:

72% duty cycle at 196kpa, 5073rpm, 72% throttle, and 10.8:1 AFR

I obviously need to step up the injector size a bit. I have two options that I can find: 42 or 47 lb/hr high impedance Bosch injectors, both rated at 3 bar. I can adjust my fuel pressure regulator from around 2.5 - 3.0 bar.

So given all this, which set should I go with? I have a feeling that the 42's would be enough and that the 47's would be tough to tune a good idle with. I'll likely not be going over the ~200kpa boost pressure.

My suggestion is to get whatever is cheapest :D

The difference is not big and the 47lb injectors are far from huge. The last motor I tuned was a 2.0 4cylinder with 76lb/hr injectors and it holds a soild idle on megasquirt. I think you can make them work alright.
