Microsquirt GSXR1100 Turbo

Hi,

Newbie post i'm afraid....I've got a Microsquirt ECU winging it's way to me as we speak (I've been eagerly awaiting the launch for about 2 years!).

The Bike is an old ('86) GSXR11 with the later ('91) 1127 motor. It also has individual thottle bodies, fabricated plenum, blow thru turbo setup with a huge FMIC. I've gone for standard sensors / hardware that I have prior experience with. These are namely :

Bosch NTC IAT & ECT sensors
Ford VR crank sensor with a lasercut 36-1 crank mounted disc
Weber Marelli (Sierra Cosworth) 2bar MAP sensor
Original TPS
2 Double ended "Dyna" 3 OHM coils

I guess the crank trigger & coolant/air temps sensors should be easy enough.

The question I have is around the MAP sensor I am using. I assume I will need some form of calibration table for the sensor? (should be avaialbe o the web somewhere) The standard MS sensors seem to be 2.5 Bar, 3 Bar or 4 Bar. Has anyone used this type of sensor before? I could swap to the generic GM sensor but the Weber one is munted & the harness is made so would mean redoing it all.

Any Ideas?

Thanks, Stewart.

You can use this if it's voltage based (some US market Fords had frequency based MAP sensors instead, which wouldn't work). You just need the pressure reading at 0 and 5 volts. Then you just go to Tools -> Sensor Calibration and enter these values.

Thanks for the reponse, I've managed to find the data sheet for the sensor I am using (APS 02/03) which gives the info I need for Megatune.

Thnaks again!
