Bosch 0 227 100 211[SOLVED]
Then I have the module UNplugged I get a 0-5 square wave out of the ignition port(internals left in uS with 4.7K ohm pull up resistors). if I plug the module in(connect the ignition outputs from uS to the module) the signals never leave 0 v, I ave the module bolted to a heat sink that is bolted to the chassis(so the head sink is grounded) I do not know what is wrong,
do you think the module is bad?

Which mod did you use to set up for this?
The impression I get from reading your post is that you are using the pull ups to test, but are not using them when driving the Bosch module. If you haven't removed and jumpered the VB921's, I believe you will need the pull ups left in place to drive the module.

If that's what you're seeing, with no other input or changes involved, then I'd say that either the module is bad or it's miswired. Have you checked resistance on the module between the trigger inputs and the ground pin?

Since you are keeping the internal VB921 with a pullup resistor, you need to make sure the output is set to "Going Low (non-inverted). It is non-inverted because the VB921 inverts the signal and the Bosch module also inverts the signal, so it is effectively non-inverting. With this setting, the default "resting"output state (the VB921 with pullup to Vref) is near 0 volts because the VB921 is turned on. When the output is active dwell the output is +5 volts from the Vref pullup resistor (VB921 is turned off).hippled wrote:No I left the internals if uS alone and I am using the pull up resistors all of the time. the only thing I change is if the module is plugged in or not.
Had you performed the logic-level drive mod then the VB921 is removed but the external driver inverts so the correct setting for this mode is the default "Going High (Inverted)".
