Suggested change to uS code

Post by SQLGUY »

One problem I've run into (at least I think this is the cause) with the uS code relates to the IAC position during cranking. The fact that the IAC will resume this position if RPM drops below the max cranking RPM after starting is undesirable and a bit dangerous. Where this is really causing me a problem is in conjunction with the VR problems I'm experiencing right now. Part of the VR issue is that uS will "lose" tach while running. This is not a reset, as other values don't drop to zero. However, since the RPM is dropping to zero, the IAC goes back to its starting position. The result is "unintended accelleration", and can be rather disturbing depnding on when it occurs.

Could you guys mod the code to not reset the IAC once the engine has gone from cranking to running?
