Parallel twin

Hi all.
I'am new to this forum and MicroSquirt.

I just started a project to squirt a parallel twin 650. It's a license built Isuzu from what i'm told.
It sits in a Kinroad 650GK-2 buggy, carbed and pretty dull right now, only about 18bhp.

Right now im planning what i need in sensors. I have a microsquirt and a 36-1 toothwheel, but do i really need a distributor pickup as i will run it as wasted spark?
Ignition would be every full turn of the crankshaft (One waste, one active), so i figure i could do without the extra sensor... or am i wrong?

regards

You'll just need the crankshaft position sensor for this one, reading the 36-1 wheel.

Thanks for fast reply Matt.

Just what i wanted to hear.
Then i'll get rid of that ugly distributor with shaft and everything... will save both weight and looks. :D
