I have been running my engine so far without any pulse signal problems until now. I was tunning on the dyno and now I loose my tach signal when I rev it. Pump shuts off and I loose rpm signal in mg. I have to shut microsquirt off and then back on to get it running again. I am however able to idle just fine but the problem accurs at higher rpms and full throttle conditions. I am running a vr sensor, not hall, and have the grey ign wire hooked up to a hei moduale with a resistor. I have a single tooth flywheel. Any ideas?
Before you went on the dyno were you able to rev it without failing ?
Does it fail consistently at a fixed rpm ?
Does it have to be under acceleration as well ?
This is unusual because you only have a single tooth. Having to cycle power on the ECU before it will restart tells me you may not have the latest code, so I would load 2.890 if you haven't already done that.
I am pretty sure I have the latest code. Yes everyhting has been working great accept pluged injectors. I am going to play around again and let you know and hopefully send a datalog. I am not sure if it is a tach sign issue or the whole system shutting down when I floor it for a split second.
Well I guess what was happening was the microsquirt was shorting out or something. Microsquirt would power up and then off while running. Now it won't power up at all and circuits are getting hot so something is fryed I am sure. This was my second unit so Unfortunately this project is over as I cannot continue to burn money. It would have been nice since I was able to get 20 more foot lbs of torque with it.
