VAG COP style coils

I'm liking these VAG style COPs, but i can find very little info on them. So i figured i'd open a topic for it.

On my V-twin i'm using two 03D 905 115 E cops, Bremi number 20116. I'm powering them from the MicroSquirt that's been switched to logic level ignition output.
I set them to 3ms dwell, 4ms at cranking. I think they're half dead now and i think, the battery dwell correction did it. Or it was just me, i set that table.

Anyways...

I would like you to share your knowledge and experience with these things here. Which one do you think is the better one. How long have you used them in good succes. How high can you rev them. How many did you fry, your min. dwell, max. dwell, etc...

Information can be found in MS2 Extra Ignition Hardware Manual for using VW cops. I'm using them
on my engine.

There is a recall on that coil for VW and Audi -- if one goes bad, they will replace it. It appears to be more for the earlier versions (your E version is an "early" one) and that the later ones ("L" version) may not be involved. But I am not sure about the L version. Info can be had on the Net under the part number.

I saw this thread, started writing a response, then checked my thread on my success and saw that you responded! http://www.microsquirt.com/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=23224

I THINK I'm using L or R version COPs. I have been running these coils for 4,000+ miles now and no problems (with the coils anyhow...). My max dwell is set to 3.0mSec (on the low side, I believe) with default battery correction values.

Thank guys, but i know how to wire them and i know that's in the manuals, somewhere. I have/had them working.

What i meant is, my twin's doing over 10.000 RPM, cars on which these coils are used, usualy do a little over half that. Will they survive? If not i'm throwing them over the fence.

Also i meant, and that's why i posted the picture, there's so many variations of them, and they all look the same, which, is the one to have, and which not. What's the diff. I've mailed Bremi, but i guess it's a big secret.

I know G is newer then E etc...
