new map sensor?

My engine only has 15 lbs on vacumn at idle, would it be best to change the map to a 1bar sensor so I can tune the VE table better.

(Ob-smart alec) 15 psig vacuum?! Call the Hadron collider guys, we found their Black Hole!

Did you mean 15 kPa vacuum, or 85 kPa Absolute? Some multicyls on a manifold (or ITBs with MAP leads tied together to one MAP sensor) can have some pretty high MAP signals at idle - that's the reason so many use alpha-n, and why the new ITB mode is being developed for MS3 and MS2x.

my vacuum gauge shows 15" of vacuum not KPa. Its 63Kpa at idle! The engine has a large overlap which is causing this problem.

I've gotten pretty good results on 2.5bar sensor. On MS1 it would be a little coarse but I think your noise is much larger than your resolution, even with 2.5bar sensor.

I went in and use the VE generator and changed the Kpa to 60 at idle an now have the resolution in step of 5 KPa now.
And was able to get the engine to run much better at idle now. :yeah!: :yeah!:
