Zetec idle settings

Post by Björn the Bear »

Hi guys!

I've succesfully installed a Microsquirt on my Zetec powered Westfield but, although I've read the manual twice, I can't seem to get the basic settings for the idle control right and so the car starts, but starts to "yo-yo" in RPM and AFR right away until it dies.
I'm using a 1800cc Zetec Silvertop with original injectors and inlet manifold and using a wide band lambda sensor. Would somebody be willing to help me out with a .msq file for the same or simuliar setup?

Unfortunately, the only Zetec we've tuned lacked an IAC valve and we just cranked open the idle speed set screw. I'd guess the valve runs at ~300 Hz based on our experience with other Fords though.

Do you have a data log of it idling you could post along with your MSQ?
