Idles yesterday, No idle today

Post by TheVandal »

First I would like to say I am quite new to the MicroSquirt controller. I installed the system on 1986 Honda TRX250R with 350cc engine. I made my own fuel rail and used a throttle body (46mm , 40mm reference), injector (111 lbs/hr), and pump from a 2003 Arctic Cat sno pro 700.

I managed to install everything and get it to idle, ambient temperature was 85F, after enough messing around the coolant came up to 160F, it was idling on its own and content with life. Today I tried to restart it and keep on tuning, it runs excessively rich, will not idle. This is after turning the ASE and WUE down from the first day of struggling.

I believe I may have a set-up issue as I can not open or read my datalog file. The EGO control is off while tuning the idle, so disregard the AFR number this displays as it is fouled out right now.

You've got your acceleration enrichment thresholds set too low, and AE is triggering off and on at idle, dumping in more fuel. You'll need to fix this first as it can make an engine nearly untuneable.
