"Cannot use Search function"

Why is it I can search for some arbitrary terms, click on a post, and if I go "back" I get told I cannot use the search function?
Should I wait 30-60 seconds before going back?

I'm not duplicating/seeing this. Which browser are you using?

phpBB (the forum software) has a load-constraint search which temporarily disables itself when the server is on high load or many users use the search function in parallel. That is to avoid lockup if search is used extensively.
That's probably what you're seeing. Some patience should help.

That could certainly be part of the issue.
There are also load settings set by the admins to limit the number of searches a given user can run without waiting in between. This is to prevent denial of service attacks.
A workaround that I sometimes use is to conduct my search, then open individual links in a new tab or window. This allows my first search to stay open while I check whether a link is useful to me. If I need to go back, I just go back (make that tab open on my screen) to that tab and consult the first search rather than running a new search.

You can always harness Google if forum search is unavailable. Just add "site:microsquirt.com" to your search term and it will only return what's found over here.
