Just a quick check with the community before I make an expensive mistake. I'm going to drive 2 pairs of Toyota COPs and not sure if I should use spark output going high or going low. Seen a few contradictory answers with a google search. Anyone able to give me a definitive answer?

The COPs are from a 2003 Corolla.

Thanks

Direct drive from a uS is normally 'going high'. The other thing you want to confirm - are these logic COPs (+5v signal, mA-range current = direct drive by the uS) or dumb (12v ground signal, 5-11 amps current = need a high-current driver).

Thanks, now running perfectly on COPs. Going high is correct for these packs.
Now running up to 20psi without any sign of flame outs. Pretty scarey in a Miata!

just for completeness for anyone reading this later. They are 4 wire COPs and trigger just fine with the 5v logic level output of the microsquirt v3.
Dwell seems happy at 2.5ms. runs fine without any significant heating of the coils.
