Uploading a tune from microsquirt V3

Post by dingo »

Hi,
I have a tune program already loaded and running in my car.
I have the latest version of tuner studio on my laptop and was wondering what I need to do to
start communicating and do some adjustments.
Can I upload the tune thats in it already in it and if so how?
When I try to connect, it asks for a project , either new, or create a new.

Do I need to get the file and/or firmware from the origonal tuners laptop and load it onto mine.

Cheers - first time/novice - dp

Create a new project and have it detect the firmware.

Once you have TunerStudio's project ready, you can grab the current tune off the MicroSquirt by going to File -> Save Tune As.

Hi,
I've created a new project and tried to 'check firmware' but after it does its scan, then the message comes up 'no controller found'
I'm using the supplied cable with the rs232 plugged into comport 1 (on a panasonic toughbook running windows 7) .Have checked
that rs232 is comport 1 and is has a driver.
where do i go to next?

Confirm that the MicroSquirt has 5V on VREF with the key on.
