Strange relay behavior

Post by feak1 »

hi there

i have Microsquirt with code 3.83 installed on my bike and here is my problem :

sometimes when i press the brakes with engine off i hear the Main and fuel pump relay cycle once making the pump work for 2 sec , like if i was cycling power Off/On .
It doesnt do it every time but at least 1/3 of the time i press the brakes.

Last year i have never noticed it but it might be just appeared now .
The bike was running fine but that bugged me so i wanna fix it.

Im pretty sure my wiring is as in the manual , i ve check and double checked.

I have removed every fuses and connectors from the stock circuitry on the bike leaving only the rear light connected.
i have removed the fuses inj1,inj2,fuel pump,o2,wb controller fuses , leaving only the main 20a and microsquirt 2a fuses.
i have reloaded code with msdownloader and made a new msq , but still didnt worked out.

Battery is from last year and has 12V.
both main and fuel pump relays are rated at 12vdc - 20 amp.
I have checked total amp the bike was flowing and it is around 1 amp and about 4 amp if i pressed the brakes (brake light consumes 3a when lighted).

i have by pass the key switch by feeding a 12v straight from the battery to both relay 86 pin.
all grounds are connected directly to battery negative terminal (used to be grounded on engine block)

here s a log

im starting to think that the relays might be faulty cause that issue doesnt make any sense since there is no possible link between my MS circuitry and my brake light. Both are independant circuits so how could it affects MS relay? And why so randomly?

Anyone have experienced that issue or know how to solve it?

Thanks!!

Solved.

VR sensor were still connected to the stock TCI unit, which would trigger a cranking state. Dont know the reason for this behavior but at least it works fine now!!

You're getting a noisy ignition signal. Try increasing Skip Pulses.
