CAS Gear Teeth Count

Post by GerBw »

Hello everyone on this forum,

At this moment I do not own a microquirt ecu but im considering getting one for a toyota 2e-e engine.
I was wondering what the minimum amount of CAS teeth is for the microsquirt ecu,
there are 2 sensors located in the distributor, one reads a single tooth gear(crank pos senser, might be a vr sensor)
and one reads a gear with 4 teeth(I think cam pos sensor, this seems to be a hall sensor)
if it is possible to use the stock sensors that would be realy usefull, but I have the option to go with an actual crank sensor (36-2 wheel and vr sensor)
I read through the manual but didnt find anything so i thought id ask :)

One tooth per cylinder is acceptable for a distributor based ignition.
