Hi All,

Im re-posting this from my thread in NZJetboating forum, will keep both threads up to date with information on the engine specific bits.

Im in the process of wiring up a harness for an ex swift M15A using the Microsquirt ECU. Wanted to start a thread on this match as I think its a pretty cost effective way of getting the popular M series up and running in a boat and allowing plenty of room for mods / tuning.
http://www.useasydocs.com/index.html

At this stage I'm asking if anyone out there has this ECU running on this engine? If possible can they share a "tune" file and or any information on crank / cam triggers etc.

Ill be posting information as I go once verified working. At this stage I'm working out pinouts of the COP coils, sensors etc and slowly re-wiring the harness.

Thanks, MikeC

Is this the best way to deal with the VVT solonoid?
Im planning on activating the VVT solenoid above 4000rpm and when under load as per the pic. Not sure if this is exactly the best conditions to use or is there a specific VVT function in microsquirt?

Also, trying to sort out the crank and cam position sensors. I have seen the cam sensor wheel, 1+1+2+2 as per pic. Does anyone know about the crank on these engines?

Thanks
MikeC

MicroSquirt does not have a VVT function, but the programmable on/off outputs will work for on/off VVT just fine.

I'm afraid I can't ID the cam sensor pattern from the picture.

Will be updating this PDF document as I learn more

As of today I have this wiring working for sensors and can run a test on injector and spark both working. Still yet to calibrate most sensors and work out crank / cam triggers.

Please post any feedback you think will make this document more useful for anyone who needs it.

Regards,

MikeC.
