I believe you have to - as long as it's generating EGO correction value, auto-tune can use it

I believe that's the case - no AFR table => EGO correction will use the switchpoint. AFR table is what Auto-Tune eventually targets by correcting VE table to eliminate EGO correction

There is a fixed overhead per squirt (injector open/close time), and in my view, changing the number of injections alleviates the fuel pressure loss a tiny bit. In my car for example, if I have one injection/cycle, all 4 injectors would have to fire at the same time but since my factory fuel rail is ...

The AFR table is used for closed-loop fueling without changing the VE table. EGO correction is the difference between the desired AFR vs the actual AFR from the VE table, that AutoTune use to correct the VE until there is no EGO correction under stable condition. The original MS-I firmware only has ...

I guess technically, with the hardware in place, it's now possible to write code to support dual triggers driving 2 coils based on those 2 triggers (instead of independent ignition). Makes me think again whether I should go after the new Microsquirt...

Not enough input for an 8 cylinder, and I don't think there is code to take advantage of individual cylinder O2 to do cylinder fuel trim

So there is no wideband voltage output? If there is, just wire it up to the O2 pin on the DB37 and have the right calibration file for the voltage-to-AFR curve and you're good. The COM port can't be used to feed the O2 data, but technically I think it's possible to have it run higher by changing the ...

Good thing with the MSnS-E/MS-II you have 12x12 tables, but ideally it would be nice to have a small 2x2 table just for the idle instead of a wasted column for high MAP/low RPM.

So you are saying that with different throttle position, the same MAP and RPM requires different VE? BTW, what kind of engine is this?

Sounds like you need to look at Accel Enrichment... did the AFR stay lean under load with constant MAP reading?
