Car will only start once........

Post by mickeymarrows »

MSnS-E 029f, MT2.25, V3

I've just upgraded from 024s9 and MT2.25b514, after a few problems with 03 warnings I've written a new .msq from scratch and imported my ve and spark tables as necessary (no more warnings). I've download the new .s19 file and all seems ok. The car starts and runs like normal, but only once. It will only start that one time, in order to get it to start again I have to go back to my old MT2.25b514 and 024s9 and download the 024s9 .s19 file.

I'm sure I've read an answer to this before, but the chances of me finding it on here are pretty slim...

Can anyone shed any light?

You need to start your new msq not "from scratch" but from the default msq for the new code that comes with the new code, then your problem will be fixed. It's OK to import the vex files but you must open the default msq first and change it to what you want to create a working msq. Otherwise, as you have noticed (and me and some others), the injector outputs stop working after you cycle power to the MS for the first time.

Ah I see. When I was doing all this I looked for a default MSQ as some of the table were full of gibberish. Where IS the default MSQ?

All a bit of a moot point now as I fried my laptop! I connected it to a 19v power supply when it should be 16v, laptop doesn't want to play anymore!

All my programs and data are now stuck in a dead Sony Vaio :(

Thanks for the replies anyway guys.

chances are you fried the motherboard and not the hard drive. Your programs and data are probably on the drive but you have to extract them somehow. There are adaptors to attach the laptop hard drive to a regular desktop computer which might be helpful.
