Warning popups in megatune

Post by tebriel »

Hi guys,
I have an MT enhancement request :-D
Can you pop up a warning when key inputs are missing when you start up megatune (and it's connected and powered up to a MS)? because I often forget to plug in sensors, and then I'm like why the heck is this running so rich, or so crappy.
I just forgot to plug in the vac line, and I just updated the firmware and I thought it was a setting, and wasted alot of time only to find the vac hose laying on the ground! ahha.
anyway, thoughts?

tebriel,

For the inputs, the problem is that 100 is a perfectly acceptable input for the MAP for example, so MegaSquirt has no idea if the MAP sensor is connected or not.

The best bet is to define the guage values so that unusual number are out of range. You can combine a number of input into a single 'All OK' guage to indicate the overall status if you like. It will take a fiar bit of code in the INI file though.

MegaTune does have a 'review mode' under Tools to help you ensure you have not missed settings, etc.

Lance.

yeah with the map sensor it would definetly be difficult, but things like mat, and coolant, just have out of range values to pop up a warning. :-D
I'll check out that tool you mentioned lance.
Thanks!
